I you want to learn more about Room to Read in Sydney

http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=122513481647&ref=search

Dear Friends of Room to Read,

We would love to see you at the next volunteer gathering on Thursday night, 23rd July, at the Kirribilli Club (same venue as previous meetings) We are looking forward to telling you more about upcoming events, and the progress of our wonderful committees who are working hard to build a big Room to Read presence in Sydney and beyond.

We also hope to show you a recent video presentation by John Wood. And we will have the t-shirts and team details for the RTR Wonder Crew entering the City 2 Surf this year.

This year we are able to fundraise on-line using Everyday Hero. If you would still like to join our City 2 Surf Team for the event on August 9, or would like more details on fundraising for the event, please email me. You can visit our team fundraising page here… http://www.everydayhero.com.au/room_to_read_sydney

You are always welcome to introduce your family, friends and workplace colleagues to Room to Read at the volunteer meetings, so please extend this invitation to them. Those of you who have been before will know it is a casual and fun evening, so please come along and meet the rest of the team, grab a drink and something to eat, and we aim to start by 7pm.

Date: Thursday 23 July 2009
Time: 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start. Finish by 8.15pm, then social time.
Venue: Sports Lounge, Kirribilli Club
Address: 11 Harbourview Crescent, Lavender Bay

Some of you will be new to Room to Read so we encourage you to arrive at 6.15pm for a quick update by Chapter Leader Jennie Orchard.

There is undercover parking at a flat rate of $10 or metered street parking after 6.00pm. Walking distance from Milsons Point Station. Car pool if you can.

Please RSVP with your numbers to Mihiri at this email address by 16 July , noting if you are coming for the early session at 6.15pm sydney@roomtoread.org

Please bring some ID for purpose of signing in to the Club as a guest.
